AT&T has launched their U-Verse Voice VoIP service in two additional markets: Austin (http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=4800&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=25418) and San Diego (http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=4800&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=25419). The company is now offering the VoIP service in parts of six major metro markets after launching it first in a limited portion of Detroit last January. As previously mentioned, the service is pricier than indie VoIP, but about on par with VoIP service from many of the cable providers. The company offers two flavors: unlimited VoIP for $40 monthly, or 1000 minutes of talk time for $30. Additional lines are $20, and you must bundle U-Verse TV.
