Some interesting questions but I wish they had an option to skip some of them, like the question about which is more important the businessman and manufacturer or the writer and artist. I would think they're equally important in their own ways.

It depends,,,,,if you are looking for who is better for the country fiscally, then it's a no brainer that the Businessman and Manufacturer would be because they provide jobs and money to a great number of people, writers and artists do not. They both ultimately sell a product, but the writer and artist are never going to become an artist company or a book company, because that's not what artistic people do, they write and paint and sell that shit to businessmen and manufacturers who print books and sell art. The artist painted the picture, the manufacturer employed people to find the artist, pay the artist, assemble a book of his art, and wholesale it to bookstores or galleries. The artist may have improved the culture of the nation in someway, but did nothing to help it's citizens get by and make a decent living.......

True enough, but I tend to believe in some way that one depends on the other. Sure, the businessman sells the art and the manufacturer publishes the books, but if the artist and writer weren't making their own contributions to society then that manufacturer and businessman would have no books to publish or art to sell. Of course they would find other things to market and produce, but then society as a whole would lose out on things that enrich our lives.
The question is pretty ambiguous really because I think it can be interpreted in many different ways and certainly yours is a good way of viewing it.

Why do you need to skip it? If you think they're equally important then you either Disagree or Strongly Disagree.

But if by disagreeing that the businessman is more important than the artist am I then implying the artist is more important than the businessman, or that the whole statement is bunk? Again, it's ambiguous.

The statement was "the businessman is more important than the artist". If you disagree with that statement, it either means that you think they are equal or the artist is more important. I guess in my mind it's a Disagree if you think they are on par and a Strongly Disagree if the artist is more important.
If the people who wrote this thing have any clue as to what they are doing, I'm guessing that's how the answers are weighed.
