Hello everyone,

I've been racking up kills in the CS:S server for a few weeks and have enjoyed the stress-free, enjoyable playing environment provided on your server. I'm an all-around gamer with experience ranging back to the days of the dial-up BBS (Red Dragon, anyone? ;) I've also done stints on Diablo II, NWN, Project Entropia, Dark Age of Camelot, Graal, original CS, HL:DM, and many text-based MUDS and MUCKS.

I'm a part-time student and full-time network admin, so I don't have much free time to game these days, but dropping into the GNG server always helps to pass the time and to make some new friends. I'm a semi-professional player in CS:S, and I've competed in CAL for two complete seasons, and working on my third now. One of your members directed me to the forum to submit my request; thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon.

I am extremely pleased to see such a well written opening post. Bravo!

The first thing to understand about the GNG is simple. We are a family. If you are truly interested in being offered something that most other clans or groups dont offer than what I am about to say will be 101% worth your time.

We are looking for people that want to interact with other members as a whole. We look at people not for there gameplay ( although its nice at times ), but for the person they are. A personality can go along way around here. We are not strictly CS either. We have had our hands in numerous other games from MMORPG, Strategy, to FPS of all types. The only reason we are as strong now as we were when we started is because we are all like family.

Make yourself at home with our forums and server. Dont be shy. We dont bite hard unless were looking to draw blood.

RE: age and the family atmosphere, I am 21 and I have been looking for a place that encourages this kind of camaraderie between members for a long time in CS and every game I play. A teenager screaming "omgz hax noob" is funny the first time, but when all you find is kiddies playing on their parents' machines, it tends to wear on one's nerves..

And I was referencing L.O.R.D. ... that was indeed a long time ago.

LORD does bring back memories. That was over 12 years ago that I can remember the last time I played it. I also use to play some muds. I was into TradeWars and StarWars for a bit until I (to me) mastered them and they got boring. Can't do but so much after awhile on them..
