Fortune (http://techland.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2008/04/29/att-to-cut-the-price-of-apples-new-iphone/), quoting a "person familiar with the strategy," says that AT&T will be looking to seriously drop the price of their HSDPA-supporting iPhone, rumored (http://www.thegng.org/shownews/93882) to be released in June. AT&T is apparently looking to subsidize the cost of the phone by $200, meaning the lowest tier 8GB version would only cost consumers around $200. According to the report, the discount would only be available through AT&T (not in Apple stores) and would require the signing of a two-year contract. These latest versions are expected to be 2.5 mm thinner and have GPS.
