It's not really exciting but I'd be doing this if I was single. Chasing tornados all summer long would be awesome. Right at TC 3:33 is the best footage and about 30 seconds later you get a good idea of the size when the photographer, Jim Reed, runs closer to get better shots.

Awesome, but I suspect he was carrying the camera to take pictures inside the tornado, and concidering it shows him come out next, there must be footage from inside somwhere. No?

Um, no. Even if it's an F1 if he went inside the twister it'd still pick him up and fling him a good 50 yards or so.

That would be a pretty cool hobby, or is that a job?

I amagine you'd get a nice adrenaline rush being that close to one of those things!

yea I agree that would be an awesome job. I love to watch the storm chasers on the weather channel.

Is that a medium format camera he's using? Oh the envy.

And he ran really damn close to that funnel. It could have turned on him at any second. Brother has balls!

Wow, that was incredible footage. I think the dudes a little nuts though. I don't think a great shot is worth that much risk. How can you reap the rewards from it if you're dead? Although, I can respect his passion...people go to great lengths for the things they love.
