The revised FISA bill (http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Revised-FISA-Bill-Goes-to-Vote-Tomorrow-95421) that was under review today was passed (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25279676) through the House without any problems. The revised bill made some changes to the issue of whether or not to give immunity to telecoms that participated in President Bush s warrantless wiretapping in the past but ultimately it does allow for that immunity to be granted. They simply need to prove that they received instructions from the president which ordered them to assist in the eavesdropping. The Senate is likely to pass the revised bill through without any questions sometime before 4th of July.
