Provided the name of your program is XXX:
My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\XXX\XXX\bin is the default storage place.

The bin folder is where Visual Studio puts a copy of the program when you use the debug menu to execute your code.

The proper way to start preparing an application for everyday use is to Publish it. Publish is in the build menu.
